Rabbi Shimon Shzouri was a Tanna Galili in the period after the Bar Kochba revolt. A student of Rabbi Tarpon.

Rabbi Shimon was called “Shzuri” after his place of residence Shzur, but some thought it was so named because he made a living from weaving ropes.

Several dozen halacha has were recited from his name in the Mishnah and in the alliances, and according to some of the methods in the Gemara, “Every place that Rabbi Shimon Shzuri changed – a halachah like his.

In his youth, Rabbi Shimon Shzouri studied with Rabbi Tarpon in Lod

The tomb of Tanna Rabbi Shimon Shzuri is located in the village of Sajur in the Galilee, not far from the tomb of Tanna  Rabbi Yishmael Cohen Gadol And  Rabbi Shimon Ben Elaza Tomb

The tomb is in an open area on the outskirts of the village, and the Zion is a kind of low stone-covered structure
