Rabbi Amram Hassida

Rabbi Amram Hassida (the Hassid) was an Amora in Babylon of the second generation (3rd century), who was famous for his good deeds. His articles in the Talmud are few.
Rabbi Amram Hassida was one of the Babylonian Amoraim in the second generation of Amoraim. Born in 1790 to his father R. Moshe Nahum. Already at the age of 24 he served as the rabbi of Irsha, and after six years he was accepted as the rabbi of Mad. 1826) Immigrated to Israel, and settled in Safed. He is called a ‘Chassidic’ because of his righteousness, chassidicness and good deeds. Rabbi Amram died on the 16th in Mr. Cheshvan 1830.
