Rabbi Hamnuna Saba Tomb

Rabbi Menona the Elder, also known as Rabbi Menona Saba Kadma – HaKadmon , was, according to the Book of Zohar, a sage from Eretz Israel in the third generation of Tannaim, at the end of the Second Temple period. It is not mentioned at all in the Mishnah or the Talmud, but is mentioned in the Book of Zohar many times.

According to the Zohar, he was a great sage in the Torah of the Secret, and Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and his group treated him as a saint and supreme, and received many things from him. After his death, the sages continued to study his teachings in his one-time revelations in this world, through his book known as “Safra Darb the Menona Saba”, and in encounters with his prodigal son, “Hinoka from the village of Sakhnin”.
