Rav Avdimi of Haifa

רב אבדימי דמן חיפה – Emora, residence in Haifa, where he ruled on the laws of Eruvin. Some of his halakhic and legendary articles have been mentioned in the Talmud and Midrashim. He submits laws called Levi Bar Sisi, and Rish Lakish.  Rabbi Avhu, Rabbi Zira, Rabbi Halabo, and other Amoraim of Eretz Yisrael are mentioned in his name. His contemporary is Rabbi Yitzchak Bar Nachman.

The grave of his grave is identified in the old Jewish cemetery of Haifa and is one of the remains of the city’s ancient Jewish past. Medieval travelers and pilgrims who visited Haifa marked the grave of Rabbi Avdimi. Even today, many people visit the grave of his tomb, which has become a center of pilgrimage from all over the country
