Rabi Shim’on Bar Yokhai Rashbi Cave

In the cave of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, the Tanna hid with his son Rabbi Elazar for 13 years from the Romans. There, according to tradition, the secrets of the wisdom of Kabbalah were revealed. Next to the cave stood the ancient carob tree from which they ate.
