Every “R. Yossi” in the Mishnah is a son of Halafta. Tanna in the fourth generation, in the second century. Born in Birdy.

From the disciples of Rabbi Akiva and ordained by Rabbi Yehuda ben Bava despite the prohibition imposed by the Romans on ordination. After his ordination he fled to Asia and when the decree was nullified he settled in Usha. The laws of Rabbi Yossi are found in the Babylonian Seder Mishnah HaBreita and the Safra. He is one of the grammarians in the mitzvos and does before the law. His words abounded in legends.

 

The Tomb  is near Kfar Hananya.

How to get there:
The ancient village of Hanania is near the Halafta junction,
Road junction 85 and 806. Passengers on Route 85,
And when you reach the Halafta junction, turn south onto Road 806.
After a drive of about 150 meters, you see a courtyard surrounded by a fence to the right of the road.
Inside there is a tree – the Tabor oak – that rises to a height of 15 meters and is sheltered by two stone tombstones,
