Rabbi Yehoshua DaSakhnin’s burial place

Rabbi Yehoshua Daskanin was a student of Rabbi Levy, a fourth-generation Amora of the Amoraim of the Land of Israel. Lived and operated in the fourth-century AD.

His place of residence was in the village of Sakhnin in the Lower Galilee, where his grave and his wife’s grave near the grave of Rabbi Shimon Daskanin are also identified.

For generations, the tomb has served as a place of pilgrimage

The Jerusalem Talmud and the Midrashim contain many legends given by Rabbi Yehoshua in the name of his Rabbi, Rabbi Levi. In the Babylonian Talmud, it is mentioned only once.
