The Tanna Rabbi Hananiah ben Akshia lived in the Galilee during the Mishnah period. He knew the traditions of the Temple and was in study relations with the sages of his generation. A few sayings have been preserved from his teachings, but one of them – “The Blessed One wanted to win Israel” – is always said before saying “Kaddish Durban”

The tomb of Rabbi Hananiah ben Akshia is located near The ancient village of Hanania, south of Road 85 near the Halafta junction. The tombstone is part of a compound with many tombs of Tannaim and Tzaddiks, including Rabbi Halafta and Rabbi Eliezer ben Yaakov. The tombstone is a cave dug in the side of the mountain and in front of it is a stone frame.

Although the date of his death is unknown, there are editors Hilula on Alef Tammuz.
