“Shmulik Cohen” restaurant, a family restaurant of Jewish-Eastern-European dishes Glatt Kosher, has been operating on Herzl Street in Tel Aviv for about 75 years! A rare phenomenon in the field of Israeli cuisine. Rivka, Shmulik Cohen’s mother, was the founder of the place in 1936, collaborating with Shmulik and his wife Carmela, who were entrusted with the pots. Even over time, the Cohen family continued to run the place. The daughter, Tzipi, who ran around the restaurant tables when she was a child, took over the cooking after Shmulik and Tzipi, followed by a next generation.
